Hi there! I'm Merrill, the founder of VoyageValet. Hailing from a small town in West Virginia, I've always had big dreams of traveling the world. My journey into the points and miles game started in college after opening my first credit card. My first “big” redemption was an Emirates business class flight to Athens, Greece, and from that moment, I was hooked.
I've since flown hundreds of thousands of miles across the globe, traveling in ways I never would have thought possible. From sunbathing in St. Tropez, dune bashing in the Middle East, hiking a volcano in Guatemala to snorkeling in the Maldives, all were made possible through strategic points redemptions. Through my experiences I’ve also leveraged credit cards, promotions and loyalty programs to secure elite status on airlines and hotels to snag countless upgrades.
As my friends and family watched me jet-setting around the globe, they couldn't help but ask, "How in the world are you doing this?" (Fair.) That's when I realized I could help others achieve their travel dreams too. Now based in sunny Santa Monica, California, when I’m not strategizing my next trip, you’ll likely find me biking at the beach, checking out the newest trendy restaurant with my husband or curling up with a good book and our dog, Reese.
